Overview:

Ek-Prayas is a unique, self-sponsored initiative under the Himalyan Educational and Training Society (HEATS), launched with the dual objective of providing self-employment to women in their own homes or villages and motivating students toward self-education. This program will focus on economic empowerment of rural women and basic  educational enhancement for primary students, thereby strengthening the core of rural families.

Education and economic independence are the key to social progress. This program will promote self-employment opportunities for rural women and develop self-study habits among students.

Educational Focus:

  • Strengthening literacy and educational base for students from class 1 to 8
  • Motivating students for self-study.
  • Motivate students to think critically, solve problems and self-reflection.
  • Enriching students through curricular and co-curricular activities.

Innovative Features:

  • To encourage responsible use of mobile phones and avoid distractions.
  • Invite parents to have meaningful conversations with their children about problems such as drug abuse, mobile addiction and mental health.
  • Work together to safegaurd our surroundings by conserving & protecting trees for future.  

Family Approach:

  • Ek-Prayas is designed around the idea that a strong family unit is essential to a child’s success. 
  • The program will focus on strengthening family involvement in child development by reducing educational and social pressure on parents through awareness campaigns.
