Terms & Conditions for General Membership
1. Introduction
By applying for membership in HEATS, you agree to follow its rules, policies, and objectives aimed at promoting education, training, and social development.
2. Eligibility
Open to individuals (18+) or institutions supporting HEATS objectives.
Membership approval is at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
3. Membership Categories
General Member | Life Member | Honorary Member | Institutional Member
4. Fees
Membership fees must be paid at the time of joining.
Renewal (for annual members) must be completed on time.
Fees are non-refundable.
5. Rights & Duties
Members may:
– Participate in HEATS programs and initiatives.
– Suggest ideas and receive official updates.
– Vote or contest (as per category).
Members must:
– Uphold the aims and values of HEATS.
– Follow all rules and maintain discipline.
– Refrain from misuse of HEATS name or logo.
6. Termination
Membership may be suspended or cancelled if a member violates rules, provides false information, or acts against HEATS interests.
7. Code of Conduct
All members must act with honesty, respect, and professionalism, and represent HEATS positively in society.
8. Confidentiality
Members shall not share internal or confidential information without permission.
9. Amendment Clause
HEATS reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any change will be notified on the official communication channels.
10. Declaration
By submitting this form, I agree to:
– Follow the Terms & Conditions of HEATS.
– Work voluntarily for educational and social welfare.
– Uphold the dignity and mission of the Society.
Terms & Congratulations for Associate Members-HEATS
1. Eligibility
• Any individual or professional dedicated to the objectives of HEATS may apply.
• The applicant must maintain good moral conduct and social reputation.
• Only members who contribute to project costs (as decided by HEATS) will be considered Associate Members.
2. Nature of Membership
• Associate membership is voluntary and project-based in nature.
• It does not grant voting rights but allows participation in HEATS projects, meetings, and programs.
3. Contribution & Sharing
• Members contributing financially or materially to approved projects will form part of the Associate Group for that project.
• They shall share profit or loss equally, in proportion to their contribution, as per the project’s financial records and performance.
4. Roles & Responsibilities
• Promote HEATS objectives in your area or profession.
• Participate actively in meetings, trainings, and social initiatives.
• Maintain discipline, honesty, and confidentiality.
• Avoid misuse of HEATS name, logo, or resources.
5. Duration & Termination
• Membership remains valid for one year or until completion of the associated project.
• It may be discontinued if a member violates the rules, misuses the Society’s name, or acts against its interests.
6. Withdrawal from Membership
• Any Associate Member may withdraw voluntarily by submitting a written request to the Executive Committee.
• Upon withdrawal, the member shall have no claim over future project benefits or profit-sharing beyond the date of withdrawal.
• Financial settlements, if any, will be made based on the member’s contribution and the project’s status at the time of withdrawal.

Terms & Conditions for Donors
1. Introduction
We sincerely thank you for your willingness to support the Himalayan Educational & Training Society (HEATS) in its mission to promote education, skill development, and social welfare.
By making a donation to HEATS, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions that ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical use of all contributions.
2. Nature of Donation
• All donations made to HEATS are voluntary and non-refundable.
• Donations are accepted as charitable contributions, not as investments or payments for goods or services.
• HEATS is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
3. Eligibility
• Any individual, institution, or organization may contribute to HEATS, provided the source of funds is lawful.
• Foreign donors must comply with all rules under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act – FCRA, where applicable.
4. Purpose of Donation
All received funds will be utilized for educational, training, and community welfare projects, including:
• Establishment of learning centers and digital classrooms.
• Scholarship and sponsorship programs for underprivileged students.
• Skill development and teacher training workshops.
• Health, awareness, and rural development initiatives.
• Infrastructure, equipment, and outreach activities supporting HEATS objectives.
• HEATS ensures transparent and responsible utilization of every donation.
5. Receipt & Acknowledgment
• An official donation receipt will be issued to every donor.
• Donations made through digital platforms, bank transfers, or UPI will receive a system-generated acknowledgment.
• Donors may request a utilization certificate or report for project-specific contributions.
6. Tax Benefits
• Donations to HEATS may qualify for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (if applicable).
• Donors are advised to consult their tax advisor for claiming benefits using the official HEATS receipt.
7. Donor Rights
Every donor has the right to:
• Know how their donation is being utilized.
• Receive transparent financial and impact reports, upon request.
• Maintain confidentiality of their personal and financial information.
• Be acknowledged respectfully (unless anonymity is requested).
8. Confidentiality & Data Protection
• Donor information shall be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
• HEATS may use donor contact details only for official communication, event invitations, or impact updates.
9. Refund Policy
• Donations, once processed, cannot be refunded or cancelled, as they are used for immediate charitable purposes.
• In case of an erroneous transaction or duplicate payment, the donor must notify HEATS in writing within 7 working days for review.
10. Use of Name and Logo
• Donors are not authorized to use the HEATS name, logo, or emblem for personal, business, or promotional purposes without written approval.
11. Compliance
• HEATS follows all statutory and audit requirements as per Indian law.
• The Society maintains transparent records and conducts annual audits by certified auditors.
